Manager and Head Coach Tim Dunn

Tim is originally from Morgantown West Virginia where he grew up playing baseball for 10 years in Little League, Babe Ruth, High School, and Senior Babe Ruth.  He was actively involved in the original construction of Valley View Field, the home field of both Senior Babe Ruth and Morgantown High Baseball from 1980 through the late 1990s.  Tim played for the Mohigans during their first two years at Valley View, and as a senior he earned All-State Honorable Mention and Big 10 Conference First Team at his Third Base position.  He also led the Mohigans in hitting for the 1981 season.

In 1982, Tim served as Field Director and Umpire for the Morgantown Senior Babe Ruth League at Valley View Field.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University in 1984 and moved to Johnson City in 1985.  He has worked for Texas Instruments which became Siemens, and currently for Host Engineering designing and developing electronic products for factory automation. 

Tim has been married to Lori for 18 years and they have two children: Rachel, 14, and David who is playing this year for Chaparral as a 13 year old.  Tim has coached in Johnson City in Boys and Girls Basketball, Little League Baseball, and Boys and Girls Soccer.  The family is active at Southwestern Baptist Church in Johnson City.

Coach Mark Franjione

 

Mark grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has lived in the Johnson City area for 20 years. He played organized baseball through Little League, and has coached Men’s Softball in the Johnson City Recreational Leagues for 10 years. He and his wife teach Sunday School at Grace Fellowship Church (4-5 year olds).   Mark has known Tim Dunn since they both started working at Texas Instruments in the mid-80’s.  He now works for Host Engineering developing software tools for the industrial automation market.

Herbie is the father of 13 Year Old Zac who is on the Chaparral team.
